Output Nodes
View, edit, and export your generated content
Output nodes display your final generated content with markdown formatting, editing capabilities, and export options.
Viewing Content
Output nodes receive content from connected AI nodes:
- The pinned message from the AI node flows to the output
- Content is rendered with full Markdown formatting (headers, lists, bold, code blocks, etc.)
- Word count and character count are shown at the bottom
The Floating Toolbar
Hover over an Output node to reveal action buttons:
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Refresh | Sync with latest upstream content (appears if content was edited) |
| Edit (Pencil) | Enter edit mode to modify content |
| Copy | Copy content to clipboard |
| Save (Bookmark) | Save output to your Output History |
| Delete (X) | Remove the node from canvas |
Editing Content

- Make any changes you need
- Click Save Changes to confirm, or Cancel to discard
Edited Badge
When content has been manually edited, an "Edited manually" badge appears on the node.
Upstream Changes
If the connected AI node generates new content while you have edits:
- A "New upstream" indicator appears in the toolbar
- The refresh button shows a blue dot
- Click Refresh to replace your edits with the new generated content
Saving Outputs
Save content to your Output History:
- Click the Bookmark icon in the toolbar
- The output is saved with:
- The node's label as title
- Full content in markdown format
- Word and character counts
Saved outputs can be accessed from your dashboard's Outputs section.
Tips
Multiple Outputs
Create different outputs from the same AI node:
- Connect multiple Output nodes to one AI node
- Give each output a descriptive label ("Blog Post", "Twitter Thread", etc.)
- Each captures the same pinned AI response
Quick Add
When an AI node has no connected output:
- A + button pulses on the right side
- Click it to instantly create and connect an Output node
